Apptronik's Apollo humanoid robot, tracked: $935M, no price

Apptronik has closed over $935 million for Apollo and publishes no price, no store, and no consumer channel; its own 2023 target of commercial availability in 2025 has slipped past August 2026, with the unreleased Apollo 3 now named as the product that will actually be sold.
Apptronik has raised nearly a billion dollars to build the Apollo humanoid robot, and there is no way for you to buy one. No price, no store, no waitlist, no deposit button. The only call to action on apptronik.com is "Let's explore what Apollo can do for your team," which routes to a contact form. Apollo is a real robot doing real work in real buildings. None of those buildings is a house.

What Apollo actually is
A humanoid built for warehouse and factory work, from a company spun out of the University of Texas at Austin. The numbers everyone quotes come from Apollo's unveiling on August 23, 2023: 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, able to lift 55 pounds, with swappable batteries giving a four-hour runtime per pack. Apptronik repeated those figures through the Mercedes-Benz and GXO announcements in 2024.
Worth flagging: the current Apollo 2 page publishes no height, no weight, no payload. What it publishes instead is operational language. Swappable batteries "help enable 7x22 operation." The actuators are "designed for 90%+ energy efficiency." Safety is a hardware impact zone that "immediately pause[s] movement when an object is detected" plus a configurable perimeter zone. There is a chest display showing status, battery level and task progress, and an LED mouth.
What a spec sheet chooses to say tells you who the customer is. Nobody buying a robot for a distribution center cares how tall it is. They care whether it runs 22 hours a day and whether it stops before it hits somebody.
The dated promise, and where it stands
When Apollo was unveiled, Apptronik gave a schedule. TechCrunch's August 23, 2023 piece quotes it plainly: "Pilots next year, commercial launch at the end of next year. 2025, we hope to be in commercial availability."

The target was 2025. It is August 2026 and the buy path is still a form. Common enough in this category, and no reason to write Apptronik off. Just read "coming to the home" as a sentence rather than a schedule. The 2026 shipped-versus-promised ledger has the rest of the industry's version of the same gap.
Where Apollo actually works
This is the part that separates Apollo from the demo-reel humanoids. The deployments are dated and named.
- Mercedes-Benz, announced 2024-03-15. Apollo delivering assembly kits to production lines and moving totes of kitted parts. Apptronik calls it its first publicly announced commercial deployment. Mercedes-Benz is also an investor.
- GXO Logistics, announced 2024-06-20. An early-stage proof of concept in two R&D phases, moving boxes and totes, picking items, scanning barcodes, starting in a lab with a US distribution center to follow.
- Jabil, announced 2025-02-25, a collaboration to scale Apollo production. TechCrunch headlined it "the first steps toward building themselves".
- Google DeepMind, announced 2024-12-19. The Apollo 2 page points at Gemini Robotics as the AI side of that work.
Note what none of those are. Not one is a sale to a customer who walked up with money and no contract. Pilots are how enterprise robotics is supposed to start, and also how a company can look deployed for three years without publishing a price.
Robot Park, and the quiet admission inside it
On June 30, 2026, Apptronik opened Robot Park, a data collection and training facility of nearly 90,000 square feet in Austin, with more of them at Google DeepMind and at customer sites. Fleets of Apollo 2 units work logistics, manufacturing and retail tasks there.
CEO Jeff Cardenas framed it as the anti-demo: "The industry has spent years showing what robots can do in demos. We're focused on what they can do every day on the job." Fair enough, and better than another dance video.
The sentence to read twice is the one about how the work gets done: "Through a combination of teleoperation and autonomous execution, Apollo 2 robots continuously generate significant quantities of high-quality training data." Humans are still driving some of it, and the output being celebrated is training data rather than finished work. Same structural fact as the 1X NEO's remote Expert Mode. Apptronik at least says it out loud, in its own release.
The money, which is the only public number
Apollo has no price. Apollo has a valuation.
On February 11, 2026, Apptronik closed a $520 million extension that took its Series A to over $935 million, with total capital raised approaching $1 billion. Apptronik says the extension priced at three times the initial Series A valuation and does not name a figure; CNBC put it at $5 billion and TechCrunch at about $5.3 billion post-money against an initial Series A around $1.75 billion. Returning backers include B Capital, Google, Mercedes-Benz and PEAK6; new ones include AT&T Ventures, John Deere and the Qatar Investment Authority.

The answer to "how much is an Apollo" is that investors have paid a lot and customers have paid an undisclosed amount. For robots with a real checkout price, see the full price ladder.
When this could matter to a normal buyer
No date exists, and I would distrust anyone who gives you one. What exists is a stated order of operations, from Apptronik's own homepage: manufacturing and logistics first, then "hospitals and retail spaces to eldercare and ultimately, the home."
One number floats near the ambition, loosely. A February 2025 episode of the podcast What's Your Problem? with Cardenas is framed around the question "Can you make a safe, reliable humanoid robot for less than $50,000?", and the show's page notes his long-term goal is robots that help care for the elderly. A question on a podcast page is not a price, and $50,000 would not be a consumer price anyway. It is still the closest thing to a target Apptronik has put near a dollar sign.
The machines you can actually put money on are elsewhere: a $13,500 Unitree G1, a $4,900 Unitree R1, or a $200 refundable deposit against a $20,000 1X NEO. Apollo is not on that list, and neither is Figure 03, for the same reason. What exists versus what is only demoed has the whole split.
What would change this page
Four triggers:
- A published price, in any currency, at any tier, including a lease or robot-as-a-service rate.
- A purchase path that does not start with a sales conversation.
- The Apollo 3 reveal, with a spec sheet and a date. Apptronik said a new robot would debut in 2026, and there are under five months left in it.
- A deployment outside the partner list, meaning a customer that is not also an investor or a scaling partner.
Until one of those happens, Apollo belongs in the same column as Optimus and Figure: an impressive machine, a serious company, and nothing you can buy.
